2019 has been a rewarding year for me both personally & professionally – it feels like the effort & dedication I have put into my skill set both as a Naturopath & as a yoga teacher has really consolidated, & I feel a strength & confidence that is quite unfamiliar, but feels really good.
You guys are such a big part of my life & my experience, & HUGE contributors to my growth both personally & professionally. Your courage to share your journey with me is such a privilege that I’m humbled to take part in.
I often reflect on this community we live in & marvel at how very lucky we are to have the close knit connections that we do, & how very lucky I am, that I get to be of service to such a wonderful bunch of humans. This connection is ESSENTIAL to healing.
The longer I’m in clinical practice, the more I recognise that Health is many things expressed in a myriad of different ways at different times….a highly individual and EVER evolving process.
When it comes down to it, looking after our health is about the consistent, seemingly little things we do regularly. Its movement, food choice, meditation, earthing, (you can insert any appropriate health practice for yourself here).
Our healing really is a life’s work – & a choice we make daily. It takes commitment to show up for ourselves in this way, as much as it takes patience, empathy, kindness & trust….all things worth cultivating within ourselves & therefore this world.
I’ve thought a lot about the evolving ‘wellness industry’, and i will say this. A fanatical approach to wellness will never be wellness. In this digital age where we are bombarded with information & ‘advice’ (often an opinion), we can (& must) be discerning when it comes to our health and the choices we make.
When i consider what ‘healthy’ means to someone unwell, the things they crave are generally not grand, but very simple – the intricate details of a life shared with those they love – It could be as simple as enjoying a cuppa in the morning with their spose, having adequate energy to play with their children/grandchildren, or to move & sleep without pain.
Simple, precious, daily, life.
It fills my heart to think of all these little moments that occur daily – small opportunities to sink in to the richness of our experience…..opportunities that really do add up.
To notice & to enjoy theses times i really believe is to enjoy health
I sincerely hope your Christmas holiday period is filled with these ‘little’ moments, what i like to call the ‘exquisite ordinary’.
Allow yourself the time and space to slow down & enjoy them.
I really am so grateful to work with you, & to support, learn & grow with you. Thank you wholeheartedly for supporting my business in 2019.
I look forward to seeing you somewhere around our beautiful region, in clinic, or on the yoga mat – be it December 2019 or 2020!
In Health, Happiness and Flow,
Hayley xx
