Yoga classes resume Tuesday 9th (Millicent) & Friday 12th June (Mt Gambier) (whoo hoo!!)
These last few months for most of us, have been interesting to say the least. I’ve got to admit, I’ve rather enjoyed the ‘easing of the pressure’ & the bit of extra time to just ‘be’.
With restrictions finally starting to ease in South Australia, my clinic hours will again be increasing (albeit with a few changes), & yoga classes will resume.
Clinic stuff
Naturopathy has (thankfully) been able to continue throughout this time, & I’ve been consistently in clinic & consulting via zoom. Massive thankyou to those who have given me the opportunity to support them & hence have supported me…..I’m so grateful for each & every one of you.
Bowen & Massage on the other hand, had a forced ‘break’. While this was unplanned & came seemingly out of the blue (with some initial fear & stress for yours truly), it has given me some welcome time & space to re-assess where I’m at with my business, & how I want to work (& live) moving forward.
The current world situation (regardless of how each of us individually views whats happening) has me KNOWING in my very bones, that we ALL must to be discerning with how we live, love & show up in this world. To me, the way forward is to connect more fully with nature, to nourish connection & community in a rich & tangible way, to cultivate space within my life & myself, & to teach our children how to do the same. The best way for them to learn these skills of course, is via our example.
Turns out my intention for the year ‘simplicity is bliss’ has been really launched into my reality in a BIG way!
For these reasons, I’m readjusting my offerings & days of work. I will no longer be offering massage – i realise many of you will be disappointed. However, a number of years ago now, I decided I wasn’t going to offer massage anymore, but then continued to ‘go back’ on my own deal to myself. While I have loved offering this service, it is something that can be very taxing to my energy levels & also time consuming. Having this forced break has made this very clear – I was tired…..
Consequently I have made this decision with the intent of enjoying longevity in my career, to remain a super focused practitioner, & be able to offer you the things that really light me (& hopefully you) up.
This also means my calendar opens up for more Naturopathy clients, & people will be able to book in in a more timely fashion.
Naturopathy, Herbs, & Nutritional medicine is where my main passion (& expertise) reside. Using these as tools to guide & support fellow humans on their journey of healing is a privilege & a gift I value highly. It’s also where I spend the majority of my time, money & energy learning, up-skilling & growing my knowledge. It makes sense to increase my time & focus to practice this. Yoga is obviously a very close second (& to me, intricately connected to my Naturopathic work). Bowen will also continue as normal.
I will also no longer work Saturdays….my garden, the beach, & Nature in general is calling to me to spend more time connected to her, & less time working ‘under pressure’. I’ve worked on Saturdays (& a lot of Sunday’s) nearly my entire adult life (even in college I worked behind a bar & in retail on weekends). Having had these last couple of months where my weekends have been my own, has been incredible & absolutely worth it…..& something at this point I don’t want to let go of.
Yoga
We will start back in class:
Millicent – Tuesday 9th June, 5:15pm (Millicent Communtiy Church, Williams Rd)
Mt Gambier – Friday 12th June, 8:45am (Blue Indigo Yoga on Ripley arcade)
I realise this is a week after everyone else – but the initial date of restrictions easing was changed & id already organised for these dates…..only one extra week!
At this stage class sizes are limited to 10ppl max – this means you will have to book.
I have no ‘virtual’ booking system: simply txt/call/email/inbox to book your spot – first in first served. You can make a commitment to attend every week – I would love that.
If numbers in Millicent are too great, I will offer a second class following the 5:15pm. I will address this if required.
All attendees will need to bring & use their own yoga mat & props.
I have used mats, blocks & straps to giveaway if you need – just let me know & I’ll bring them to class for you to use, & then you can keep them & take them home with you to continue using going forward.
Social distancing will be practiced & still no hands on adjustments (or hugs ). My understanding is that this is an ever-changing dynamic – .moving forward hopefully class numbers can increase.
Any questions – don’t hesitate to contact me.
As always, I hope this finds you & your loved ones thriving & well. Remember, we all have control over how we move, eat, think & love – even in these challenging times……& dare I say it, these intentional acts DO indeed keep us robust, healthy, connected & joyous.
Let’s choose freedom & health in any & every way we can!
Big love,
Hayley
